Insurance Agency Trader ("the Site," "we," "us," "our") is a marketplace for buying, selling, and valuing P&C insurance agencies, operated by IDudes, LLC. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect from visitors, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over your own data.

By using the Site or submitting information through any form, calculator, or chat interface, you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

You provide directly: name, email, phone, agency details (revenue, EBITDA, carrier mix, geography), valuation-tool inputs, contact-form messages, NDA requests, and any other data you submit through forms or our AI advisor chat.

Automatic: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, referring URL, timestamps, and behavioral analytics via Google Analytics 4 (cookie name_ga) and similar first-party logging.

Third-party: we receive form submissions through GoHighLevel (CRM); we may receive identity-resolution signals from advertising partners if you arrive via paid campaigns.

2. How We Use Your Information

Match buyers and sellers; deliver requested valuations, NDAs, and listings
Respond to inquiries; send transactional emails about your account or listing
Send marketing emails (CAN-SPAM compliant, unsubscribe in every email)
Send SMS messages only with explicit opt-in (TCPA compliant; reply STOP to unsubscribe)
Improve the Site, calculators, and content based on usage patterns
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers — vendors who help us operate (Vercel hosting, Supabase database, Resend transactional email, Stripe payments, GoHighLevel CRM, Google Analytics). These vendors are contractually bound to handle your data only for the services they provide.
Counterparties in a deal — if you submit an inquiry on a listed agency, your contact information is shared with the seller (or their broker) after an NDA is executed.
Legal compliance — to comply with subpoenas, court orders, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer to the successor entity.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, session management, and remembering preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time; some functionality (chat, saved searches) may require them.

Google Analytics is honored via the idudes_internal=1 cookie — internal users have analytics disabled.

5. SMS & TCPA Compliance

If you provide your phone number and check an SMS opt-in box, you consent to receive text messages from us (transactional and marketing). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe; reply HELP for help. We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Email Marketing & CAN-SPAM

Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

9. COPPA (Children Under 13)

The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Account inquiries and form submissions are retained for up to 7 years after last contact. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS, encrypted databases, restricted access) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

This Site uses Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Google Analytics 4, and GoHighLevel (CRM). Each has its own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites linked from ours.
